Logo design for StemFest festival
National Marine Aquarium and Plymouth City Marine Festival organises the STEMFest festival which celebrates Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Freeway Projects was appointed to design the original identity for the event.
What we did
The brief for the STEMFest logo was to create a fun, exciting and interesting logo which pulls together the subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths with an emphasis on local Plymouth marine life.
We used an illustrative approach with graphic elements representing the different subjects and a mixture of bright colours to represent diversity and fun.
The illustrations were hand drawn – watch out for Enzo, the Aquarium’s own Sand Tiger!
The logo was designed to be versatile and to easily be adapted onto other materials such as banners, flags and exterior building graphics.
