National Marine Aquarium “Coral Reef”

Background

The National Marine Aquarium was building a new wall leading down to the Coral Reef area and asked us to design a large piece of illustrative wall art to decorate the new wall.

National Marine Aquarium Coral Reef - Wall Art Design

What we did

Following the style of the Ocean Lab exhibition, we were commissioned to design a piece of wall art covering a 5 meter long wall (2m high) with a coral reef theme, to set the tone for the Coral Reef area. The artwork was to be printed on a vinyl wall paper and features creatures such as the Aquarium’s legendary turtle Snorkel, an Eagle Ray, tropical fish and coral.

The colour scheme was to be inspired by a coral reef using turquoise, pink and purple hues.

“I love it! Pretty much just what I had in mind. Thanks, it is going to look great!”
